This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to achieve What Cyril Houle calls the Basic Unity of Process in the arena of Adult Learning Theory. This course reviews the concepts of andragogy and self-directed learning theory through the lens of meeting the needs of the adult learner. Focusing the principles in a variety of educational arenas including higher education, training and development and the PreK- 12 arenas, participants will focus on understanding adult learning theories and concepts to implement instructional strategies to meet learner needs. The focus will center on past and current research to bridge the current learner needs. 3 Credits
