Department of Science

The Department of Science provides a comprehensive education in the physical and biological sciences based on the foundations and principles of the discipline and on the needs of employers and of society, yielding graduates who are competent and highly employable professionals.

The curriculum engages students in solid science theory. The department provides students with hands-on learning experiences through laboratory work, research projects, publications in peer-reviewed journals, presentations at conferences, field trips, and internships. Graduates are prepared for career pursuits in science, as well as graduate study or medical school.
