GMAT Waiver Policy

A graduate exam score is required for admissions into RMU’s School of Business degree programs.

No GMAT is required for the MBA program (unless requested by the dean).

A GMAT waiver may be obtained for applicants meeting specific admissions conditions, and are subject to review of official admissions credentials.

Applicants to the MS in Taxation (MST), who are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Enrolled Agent (EA), or a Juris Doctor (JD), can receive a GMAT waiver. GMAT waivers for candidates who have already earned a graduate degree are considered on a case by case basis by the Program Director.

Applicants to the MST who have earned an undergraduate degree from an AACSB accredited business school and have an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0  may be eligible for a GMAT waiver.  Applicants to the MST with at least two years of substantial professional experience in accounting, financial planning, or taxation may also be eligible for a GMAT waiver.

Applicants to the MS in Human Resource Management (MSHRM) have the option to submit either a GMAT, GRE, or MAT score.

GMAT, GRE, or MAT waivers for candidates who have already earned a graduate degree are considered on a case by case basis by the Program Director.

Applicants to the MSHRM who have earned an undergraduate degree from an AACSB accredited business school and maintained an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0, are eligible for a GMAT waiver.
