Course Description
This practicum course is designed to afford the student the opportunity to apply psychotherapeutic interventions in the provision of care to children, adolescents, and adults with acute and/or chronic psychiatric disorders. The focus of the practicum experience is to develop a therapeutic relationship with an individual which includes an in-depth psychosocial assessment. Emphasis is also placed on application of evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions most effective to treat the individual's disorder.
Prerequisites: NURS9110 & NURS9215 OR NURS9230
