Course Description
This course introduces students to the legal system and the role it plays in the business world, specifically, and society in general. It emphasizes the complexity and interrelationship of legal, social, and ethical issues. Students acquire knowledge and understanding of the legal implications of business transactions. Specific areas studied include, the role of government, business ethics, the American legal system, contracts, business torts, debtor-creditor relationships, government regulations of business, business structure, consumer protection and legal and ethical issues related to the internet.
