Course Description

This course introduces students to the principles, practices, and processes of research in social science, assists students in selecting a topic for a research project, and guides them in doing preliminary research on that topic. Students will be introduced to empirical studies, learn how to conceptualize and measure variables, and become familiar with sampling techniques and different types of research designs, includings data collection. By the end of the course, students will have decided upon a research project, read numerous secondary sources on their topic, and a literature review.

Prerequisites: STAT2110 and 60 credits 3 Credits
