Course Description

This course will integrate principles of basic pathophysiology as foundation for the assessment and pharmacologic treatment of patients across the lifespan. Through system-based modules, students will explore the pathophysiological changes that occur in disease states, the physical manifestations of the disease, and the pharmacologic basis for management of patients. The course will focus on assessments necessary for the nurse educator to provide care to patients based on integration of subjective information, physical examination findings, and pharmacologic management decisions. 4 Credits
