Course Description
Compensation Management addresses the strategic choices involved in compensation systems. The course will cover the key issues facing a manager in today's workplace as they relate the administration of a compensation program. The theories of pay equity and acceptability of internal pay structures, external competitiveness, and individual employee contributions will be emphasized. The course will also cover in detail the individual components of a compensation program including job analysis and evaluation, employee benefits, federal wage and hour regulation and merit systems.
Prerequisite: MGMT3600. 3 credits.
