Course Description

This course presents an overview of the ethical and legal issues that impact on the delivery of health services. The role of morality in the department of ethical theory, the basic principles of bioethics, and the application of bioethical principles to patient care and service will be discussed. There will be instruction in the U.S. Legal system and in tort law, with particular problems faced by health care provides and administrators. The focus will be on problem solving using the legal and ethical theories and principles learned.
