Course Description

This 0-credit capstone course is designed to provide seniors an opportunity to further their understanding of and reflect upon an academic experience (e.g. HNRS 39xx, HNRS 2900, study abroad experience, internships, etc.) while practicing the communication and critical thinking skills they developed in their honors coursework. At the end of this course, there will be three deliverables. Students will develop, propose, and have approved a substantial essay that expands upon an idea or explores a problem beyond what was covered in their academic coursework. Students will complete this paper using academic references in an appropriate academic style. Additionally, students will present their essay at either the Robert Morris University Undergraduate Research Conference or another pre-approved conference or venue. Students who have completed HNRS 2900 may, with permission of the instructor, complete and submit an application to a competitive scholarship, fellowship, graduate program etc. in place of an essay
