Course Description

Healthcare Finance II: Financial Analysis and Management for Healthcare Executives. This course builds on student competencies of financial analysis and management in healthcare settings at the level of a health care executive with anticipated profit/loss responsibility. Additional depth of accounting principles are pursued, leading to an organization-level understanding of the concepts of financial management in challenging reimbursement and expense management of a healthcare organization. Financial analysis and managerial accounting principles are applied. Deeper financial statement analysis, management of working capital, funding sources and debt financing will be addressed. Additionally, principles of long-term capital structure and decision analysis techniques will be explored.
