Course Description

This practicum course builds directly on the knowledge base developed in the physical and psychiatric diagnosis courses but emphasizes a holistic perspective in the provision of comprehensive care for individuals experiencing acute and/or chronic psychiatric disorders. The focus is on utilization of evidence-based practice findings to plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic regimens of individuals experiencing acute and/or chronic psychiatric disorders. The practicum experience provides the student with the opportunity to manage care of individuals with acute and/or chronic psychiatric disorders.

Prerequisites: NURS9215

Co-requisite: NURS9310 3 Credits
