Course Description

This honors course provides students with an interdisciplinary and/or intercultural look at a current topic. The course helps students to examine an issue through multiple lenses and is often co-taught by faculty from different disciplines. The course focuses on the honors program goal of Diversity of Perspective, but also provides students opportunities to enhance their skills with regard to the other honors program goals, especially Innovation and Creative and Critical Thinking. Faculty may also wish to add other UHP goals such as Community and Collaboration and Resiliency and Self-Direction. Faculty proposing a special topics course will provide a more detailed syllabus to be approved by the Honors Faculty Advisory Committee.
