Course Description
This course examines Cybersecurity strategy and governance. Students learn the widely used frameworks to explore an integrated theoretical and practical perspective of information systems governance, control and assurance. The course emphasis is on the key control mechanisms that support the achievement of control objectives as well as the prevention, detection, and mitigation through responsible uses of resources, appropriate management of risk, and the alignment of information technology with the organization. The course emphasizes the role of data governance in aligning security risks with acceptable risk appetite of an organization.
