NURS4035 - Nclex Licensure Prep Success
Fall 2023
This Pass/Fail course serves as an NCLEX-RN/CAT examination preparation course. Students will work individually as well as in cooperative learning groups. Content will focus on content review, test-taking strategies, controlling test anxiety through locus of control, cognitive restructuring, and self-talk. The course assignments will include current issues affecting NCLEX first-time test-takers. Students will practice the above test-taking techniques through computer assisted instruction and weekly NCLEX-like questions. The course will not re-teach nursing content, with the exception of pharmacology and diagnostic studies, but rather reinforces important concepts based upon the NCLEX test Blueprint.
