MBAD6520 - Business Analytics

Fall 2023

In this course students will gain a broad overview of business analytics and a deep introduction to the fundamental concepts of data science and data mining as applied to business problems. This will provide a framework for classifying the ever-growing number of specific business analytic techniques into a set of fundamental, generic tasks. Through case study and hands-on examples students will study how specific examples of these fundamental business analytic tasks have been used to create business value. In so doing, students will learn to recognize opportunities to use business analytic techniques to make better business decisions and will gain the vocabulary and conceptual understanding necessary to communicate effectively with business analytics specialists.
