ENGR6025 - Health and Safety Management

This course is an introduction to safety engineering and management, work design, accident causation and investigation, and workers compensation as applied to industrial situations. The student will understand the role of hazard recognition and be provided with government standards and regulations. Job safety analysis, reduction of accident rates, personal protective equipment, environmental hazards, operational analysis, and workstation organization are among topics covered. ENGR 6025 is offered in two delivery modes: synchronous online and on-campus. Students opting for the synchronous online delivery mode option must attend the live weekly lectures on the date and time as the course details indicate 3 Credits
