The B.S. and B.A. degree programs in Interdisciplinary Studies are designed for students wishing to take courses in a broad range of interconnected disciplines. Health Sciences B.S. (General)
The B.S. in Health Sciences with a General concentration prepares you for a variety of healthcare professions that are in significant and growing demand. It offers maximum flexibility to customize your program of study to suit your own career goals and interests,
Health Sciences B.S. (Pre-professional Allied Health)
The B.S. in Health Sciences with a Pre-professional Allied Health concentration is for students who wish to pursue a career as a physical or occupational therapist or other allied health professional careers. Coursework includes a strong foundation in science to prepare you for graduate-level coursework in a professional program.
Secondary Education B.S. (Biology)
The B.S. in Secondary Education with a concentration in Biology Education prepares students for rewarding middle school or high school teaching positions in the biological/life sciences. Students complete studies in biology and chemistry and a set of core experiences in professional education, including participation in guided fieldwork. Graduates of the program are qualified to apply for state certification to teach biology in grades 7-12 in Pennsylvania.
Secondary Education B.S. (Social Science)
The BS. in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies Education prepares students for rewarding middle school or high school teaching positions in social studies. The program develops graduates committed to effective instruction that supports the intellectual, social, and personal development of all learners. A final component of the program is a student teaching internship. Graduates of the program are qualified to apply for state certification to teach social studies in grades 7-12 in Pennsylvania.

Candidates can now earn a stand-alone special education certification. This can be achieved through a post-bacc special education certification program or within a Master of Science in Instructional Leadership. The graduate special education program provides learning opportunities for classroom teachers to better manage resources for students with disabilities in grades PK-12.
