• The Master's in Organizational Leadership online degree program has by ranked No. 11 among best organizational leadership programs among 25 colleges and universities nationwide by SuccessfulStudent.org.

• Oak View Group Facilities, the operator of the UPMC Events Center under construction on the RMU campus, has named Scott Zimmerman, a 25-year industry veteran, as general manager. Zimmerman most recently was director of booking at PPG Paints Arena. Zimmerman will lead OVG Facilities’ team in overseeing full management, booking, marketing, ticketing, event coordination, financial oversight, and operational services at the UPMC Events Center. He will also be responsible for hiring and training a team of employees.

• Congratulations to Lauren Speerhas in the Center for Student Success on her successful international certification of the First Year Seminar Mentoring program through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA)  at Level I, II, and III through January 2, 2024! This certification acknowledges that the orientation, ongoing training, and subsequent support received for the FYSP mentors exceeds expectations set through the CRLA's International Mentor Training Program Certification (IMTPC). As an added bonus,  CRLA has requested to use Lauren's application as a sample to prospective applicants because the application was so thorough and well-done.

RMU BASKETBALL COACHES SHOW PRESENTED BY PEOPLES NATURAL GAS featuring Robert Morris head coach Andy Toole returns, Monday Jan. 14 at The Yard Gastropub (670 Chauvet Drive/Pointe @ North Fayette) at 7 pm. All fans are welcome to attend, and food/drinks are on us. Co-hosting the show once again is the RMU Hall of Fame Voice of the Colonials Chris Shovlin.
