Course Description

Program Evaluation, Capacity Building, and Fundraising introduces students to non-profit resource development through the lenses of capacity building, program evaluation, and fundraising. Students will explore the importance of building capacity both within the organization and the community for developing resources that can support the work of the non-profit organization. Students will be introduced to the foundations of program evaluation as it provides insight not only in program development and improvement, but also to strategic planning, including resource allocation and marketing. Finally, students will become familiar with methodologies for creating effective and comprehensive fundraising plans and writing grants. 3 Credits
