Section will be taught totally online with no scheduled class meetings. Students must arrange for daily access to a computer and the Internet prior to the start of classes. Robert Morris labs are to be used only as a backup in special situations and may not be relied upon for extended periods of time. Course Description

This course introduces four major resource management areas for nonprofit organizations such as (1) financial management, (2)outcome assessment and program evaluation, reporting, and presentation, (3) human resource management and (4) management information technology. Under financial management aspect, students will learn about budgets, cash flow, restricted funds, risk management, investments, endowments, and financial reporting and presentations to Board of Trustees, donors, and for auditing. For outcome assessment and program evaluations, reporting, and organizational performance reviews. Students will also learn how to manage human resources in the areas of compensation, Title VII training, divirsity, and inclusion, ethical issues in employment. For the management of information technology, students will assess the use of social media and its impact on the organizational culture and goal achievement. 3 Credits
