Course Description

This course builds directly on the knowledge base developed in the physical and psychiatric diagnosis courses but emphasizes a holistic perspective in the provision of comprehensive care for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing acute and/or chronic psychiatric disorders. The focus is on utilization of evidence-based practice findings to plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic regimens of children, adolescents, and adults experiencing acute and/or chronic psychiatric disorders. Psychological factors affecting common medical conditions will also be highlighted.

Prerequisites: NURS9110 and NURS9210

Co-requisite: NURS9325 or NURS9350 3 Credits
