Course Description

This course focuses on the development of student understanding of leadership theory with a focus on application. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand, inform, and direct the way that leadership is practiced both by themselves and others in their organizations. We focus on the differences in leadership styles, team leadership, and the major theories in this domain. The course relies heavily on case studies to generate discussion on the week?s topics and requires students to assess and develop their own leadership skills based on vignettes that explore student actions. As a deliverable, each student will develop an individual case study on a leader that they have either worked with or respect based on their reputation in the industry.
