This course has clinical at community agencies on Tuesdays and Thursdays all day and class at the Moon Township Campus on Wednesdays and Fridays.

This section is Communication Skills intensive. Communication Skills I-V must be completed before taking this course.

Course Description

The focus of this course is to provide the student with a broad introduction to community health and the role of the nursing within this setting. Students will examine nursing knowledge, incorporating concepts of epidemiology, populations, levels of prevention, health promotion and health care systems. The health care needs of selected at-risk populations will be reviewed.

Prerequisites: COSK2220, NURS3020, NURS3015, and NURS3030
