Course Description
This course presents the knowledge base for using health promotion strategies and health assessment techniques with individuals across the life span from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. The role of the nurse in promoting patterns of positive health behaviors is emphasized. The student is also provided with an opportunity to practice physical assessment skills in the laboratory and in a precepted clinical setting.
