Course Description
This course builds directly on the knowledge base developed in the physical and psychiatric diagnosis courses but emphasizes a holistic perspective in the provision of comprehensive care for individuals experiencing acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. The focus is on utilization of evidence-based practice findings to plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic regimens of individuals experiencing acute and/or chronic psychiatric disorders. Research and theory are used to identify strategies integral for the promotion of mental health and prevention of illness.
Prerequisites: NURS9110 and NURS9210
