Section will be taught totally online with no scheduled class meetings. Students must arrange for daily access to a computer and the Internet prior to the start of classes. Robert Morris labs are to be used only as a backup in special situations and may not be relied upon for extended periods of time. In addition to the Internet link, online classes have a large emphasis on email. Course Description

This course focuses on the process of integrating research and practice in the health care setting for advanced practice nurses. Critical analysis and synthesis ofscientific knowledge related to clinical problems are explored through appraisal of organizational culture and dynamics, models and immersion into the clinical phenomena of interest. Emphasis will be placed on how problems and questions are articulated and grounded in the clinical phenomena, supported and synthesized through the literature and transformed to develop clinically culturally relevant and usable knowledge for advanced practice nurses. Pre-requisite: NURS 8020
