CRMJ2030 - Juvenile Delinquency

Summer 2021

This course examines how the criminal justice system is altered when the suspect is a juvenile offender. Different theories of juvenile delinquency are discussed, as are the impact of drugs, gangs, and other social institutions on the individual and larger trends in delinquent behavior. Differences in policing, prosecution, punishment, and prevention for juveniles compared with adults are examined.
