HSAM4250 - Research For Hlth Professional

Research Methods for Health Services Administration (three credits) is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to effectively interpret health services research while developing, refining and presenting an applied research question based on a literature review and synthesis. The course provides an overview of qualitative and quantitative research methods as demonstrated in contemporary health services research. A portion of the course will explore best practices for how to locate, retain and ultimately share resources that promote high quality health services research. The course will introduce students to the range of materials available on the internet, in peer-reviewed journals and from private consulting firms.
Prerequisite: HSAM2300 & HSAM2350 3 Credits
