FINA1030 - Personal Finance

Summer 2021

Personal Finance will cover a number of topics that are common to an individual's (or family's) concern about managing financial resources (money!). These topics will include consumer banking issues, financing a home (mortgage), general consumer credit issues (borrowing money for a variety of uses other than home mortgage), insurances which are essential to reducing personal risks, and approaches to investing discretionary income. The overall purpose of this course is to give students a focus on how to manage common financial issues. 3 credits
