This course is a survey of topics in property / casualty insurance as they relate to the practice of actuarial science as certified by the Casualty Actuarial Society . This course includes an overview of the property / casualty insurance industry and the various roles of actuaries within P / C insurance companies . This course covers technical topics in ratemaking and reserving , the two most important roles of P / C actuaries .
