The following policies relating to Third Party Employers/Recruiters and their posting of job openings on the ColonialTRAK system are based on the standards set by the NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers), Principles for Professional Conduct found on the NACE webpage, www.naceweb.org
Third Party Recruiters are agencies, organizations, or individuals recruiting candidates for temporary, part-time, or full-time employment opportunities other than for their own needs. This includes entities that refer or recruit for profit or not for profit organizations, and it includes agencies that collect student information to be disclosed to employers for purposes of recruitment and employment.
A.) The RMU Career Center approves all employers posting in ColonialTRAK as well as all jobs posted in the system. Therefore, all Third Party Employers/Recruiters must provide the name and location of the employer/client for whom they are recruiting for each position they would like to post in ColonialTRAK. If requested, the RMU Career Center will not publicize the name of the employer/client to students or alumni; it will only be listed on the “administrative” side of ColonialTRAK that only Career Center staff can see and monitor.
B.) All Third Party Employers will maintain the confidentiality of Robert Morris University student/alumni information, regardless of the source, including personal knowledge, written records/reports or resumes, and computer data bases. There will be no disclosure of student/alumni information to another organization without the prior written consent of the student. “Another organization” is defined as any company that a student/alumni did not directly apply for a position with. In other words, a student/alumni’s information/resume can not be shared with any other employer (other than the employer that is offering the position for which the student applied for through the Third Party Employer) without the prior written consent from that student.
C.) Organizations who are Third Party Recruiters or employers that post more than five positions at one time may be directly referred to ColonialTRAK. In such cases, the employer is responsible for paying a nominal job posting fee as determined by ColonialTRAK.
