Stacey Vigliotti Wins Adult Student Award
Moon Township, Pa. – Robert Morris University (RMU) student Stacey Vigliotti has been selected to receive the Outstanding Adult Student Award from the Pennsylania Association for Adult Continuing Education (PAACE).
What’s more, of the five award winners, Vigliotti is one of only two award recipients to receive a PAACE scholarship. To qualify, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.5, be enrolled as a non-traditional student and have completed 24 credits at their current school.
Vigliotti holds two professional certifications from the Institute for Supply Management: the A.P.P. (Accredited Purchasing Practitioner) and the C.P.M. (Certified Purchasing Manager). She is majoring in organizational studies at RMU and is set to graduate in the spring. Currently, she works as the procurement specialist at Bayer Business and Technology Services LLC.
“This award is a true recognition of having the right goals and the determination to achieve them,” said Vigliotti. “It was a great honor to be nominated by my advisor, Ashley Tipple; (RMU lecturer) Bill Shadle also wrote a letter or recommendation. I greatly admire both of them and am honored to have their support.”
”It's been a long journey but I have found RMU and its people to be completely supportive. RMU has provided me the foundation as well as the flexibility to accomplish my goals” said Vigliotti.
The award will be presented at the annual PAACE Midwinter Conference on Feb. 11, in Hershey.
