Having trouble keeping up with your social media?  Are you exhausted from keeping up with your Tweets, RSS feeds, blog subscriptions, Facebook messages and other Web 2.0 goodies?

I recently discovered an online tool that can be customized to serve as a social media monitoring tool of sorts:  Netvibes.com.
Netvibes allows you to create multiple pages (private or public) and add social media widgets to them.  Here’s a screen shot of my Netvibes home page, which is set to private because it’s just for me:

 
The widgets you see in this image, left to right, top to bottom are:

• My RSS feeds
• Delicious bookmarks
• The  weather (‘cause I’m a junkie and I couldn’t resist)
• My personal email account
• My Twitter feed
• My Facebook News Feed

I simply set the URL for this page as my home page in Firefox and now I can check in with my social media endeavors at a glance by opening my browser.  To read an RSS feed, I click on an article title.  I can update my Twitter and Facebook status without going to either site directly.  I can jump to a Delicious bookmark with one click.
There are many other widgets available for other social media tools that can be added to the page – I just chose the ones that suited me.  In addition, you can change the page look and move the widgets and columns around to your heart’s content!
