Direct Digital Manufacturing is a technology that takes three dimensional computer models and builds three-dimensional parts using additive processes, typically by building layer upon layer of material.
DDM Technology Transfer Center houses the following technologies:
Stereolithography (SL, SLA™)
Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)
Direct Metal Printing (3D Printing)
Typical materials include metals, ceramics, plastics and composites. DDM is employed to fabricate models as well as manufacturing tool and final parts regardless of geometric complexity.
