RMU-CARES and the APICS Pittsburgh Chapter have partnered to offer preparatory classes for the each of the five modules of the APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) examination. This class prepares students for the Master Planning of Resources module exam.

THE APICS CPIM MODULES
The APICS CPIM body of knowledge is organized into five modules, each focusing on a key area of study critical to developing an integrated supply chain solution. Candidates must pass an examination for each module to attain the CPIM Certification status. The five CPIM modules are:
- Basics of Supply Chain Management (BSC) - 10 sessions
- Master Planning of Resources (MPR) - 8 sessions
- Detailed Scheduling and Planning (DSP) - 9 sessions
- Execution and Control of Operations (ECO) - 9 sessions
- Strategic Management of Resources (SMR) - 9 sessions
Individuals should begin with the Basics of Supply Chain entry module and finish with Strategic Management of Resources, the capstone module of the program.
